Stella Polaris is one of the world’s leading producers of Coldwater prawns, and supplies cooked, peeled and frozen prawns to retail, foodservice and industries all over the world. Our production plant and head office is located in Kårvikhamn, a small village in the seafood-rich Senja region in Troms. Our sales and logistics department is based in Kystens Hus in Tromsø. Stella Polaris produces and sells coldwater prawns of the specie Pandalus borealis. Our prawns are caught mainly in the Arctic waters around Svalbard and in the Barents Sea. Prawn fishing in the Barents Sea is certified as sustainable fishing by the Marine Stewardship Council and Krav.
