The Society of Petroleum Engineers, known as SPE, is the largest individual-member organization serving engineers, scientists, managers and other professionals worldwide in the upstream segment of the oil and gas business. The society offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the professional growth through our programs and events and many of our accomplishments are driven by our dedicated volunteer members. The SPE Romanian Section was established in June 1994 and currently maintains a 500-plus-strong membership. The Section is based in Ploiesti and our members are spread all over the country.
