- one of the biggest, most effective and reputable student chapters among the 337 student chapters that represent SPE International in 147 countries all over the world, it was founded in 1987. For its unique and outstanding performance in improving and developing the skills of students, aiming to qualify them to match the requirements of the industry in general, and the Oil & Gas industry in particular; it has been prolific in receiving awards from SPE International. The Outstanding Chapter Award is the most significant one, SPE-CUSC has received that award in 2009 and 2014. SPE-CUSC has reached such an outstanding performance through its ambitious, well-planned, and organized events which aim to link the Academic life to the Practical life and allow the students to know more about the real life work environment. We are a non-profit organization, the majority of events we plan and organize are completely free of charge. Membership: The chapter now has more than 600 members all from different departments of the Faculty of Engineering. Target: Our target is Students from all departments and Universities, as well as fresh graduates. Slogan: Seek the Peak
