Spectrum Theatre Company was founded in October, 2013 by Dr. Billy Harden (deceased). Dr. Harden, with the assistance of his talented theater-savvy advisors, has created a theater company that is to be reckoned with! Spectrum has a team of dedicated company members who can be recognized as that of having years of professional acting, singing and play-reading talents, and, a strong leadership team of diverse and robust board members! The company's board advisors are the one and only, well renowned, Viola Davis and Julius Tennon! Spectrum has performed countless theatrical productions since its inception in 2013, performing on stage, television, and radio broadcasting. Our mission is to provide our viewers productions that are not only professional, but that will also enlighten and educate viewers, by telling our stories through our performances, from an African American perspective.
