Our name reflects a commitment to shed light on investment opportunities both at home and around the globe—a commitment that has driven our work throughout our history. We invest with a long-term time horizon in niche-dominant, attractively valued companies with financial flexibility and well-fitted management teams. We believe careful, in-depth analysis of a company’s financial strength, market position, and human capital is the most comprehensive method of assigning proper valuations, identifying opportunities, and reducing the risk of investment. We believe there is no substitute for knowing each company we invest in as if we own the entire company.
