Overview

Welcome to the Society of Internationally Educated Nurses in Northern America (SIENNA), an organization that works towards the welfare of all internationally-educated nurses who have migrated or are planning to migrate to North America (the USA, Canada, and beyond) to ensure that they have a community of support, network, and resources for professional growth and development, as well as enhance the profession of nursing through social justice values. Our MISSION is to be a professional and social conduit to all internationally-educated nurses, especially those coming from countries without established professional nursing associations or organizations. Our GOAL is to promote and foster a closely-knit professional, social and cultural support system for all internationally-educated nurses through quality continuing education, acculturation, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, regardless of their race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, socio-economic status, or country of origin. SIENNA membership does not preclude them from being members of any professional associations or organizations of their choosing.
