Overview

In the pursuit of quality patient care while facing budget constraints, hospitals and care organizations must optimally utilize resources such as staff. One valuable solution that can enhance (remote) patient management is the utilization of wearable devices for continuous vital sign monitoring enabling personalized & precision healthcare practices. Today, continuous monitoring is predominantly available in intensive care units for critically ill patients. However, to effectively and timely detect deterioration, it is crucial to implement continuous monitoring for patients across their care pathways, enabling healthcare providers monitoring patients in any care setting. Continuous monitoring allows tracking patients' health conditions more comprehensively, allowing medical professionals make informed decisions about the appropriate level of care for patients. viQtor’s technological architecture is designed to generate multiple vitals, such as pulse rate, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate and temperature and non-vital signs in a single form factor. An easy-to-use single button operated device collects relevant patient data while algorithms on the device and in de back-end analyze the data. Using the IoT network, viQtor streams (near-)real-time-data to a platform, thus allowing patients full freedom of movement. The integrated early warning score allows for early detection of patients’ clinical deterioration and trigger timely interventions wherever they are.
