Higher Education

Overview

The focus is on a contemporary view of modern and conventional manufacturing processes in the context of Industry 4.0. The equipment includes metal-cutting manufacturing processes, forming manufacturing processes, stamping and bending technology as well as Additive Manufacturing processes in the interactive -AM Experience Lab-. *Lab equipment* Machining CNC machining center for 5-axis machining with high-speed spindle CNC lathe with driven tools and counter spindle for backworking and complete machining (process integration turning, milling, drilling) CNC punching and nibbling machine Various turning and milling machines, partly NC controlled Forming / sheet metal working Various presses and forming machines Mechanical punching and bending machine Additive manufacturing / 3-D printing AM Experience Lab - experience additive manufacturing processes through high-speed and thermographic camera as well as AR Metal processing additive manufacturing processes, in particular laser beam melting and metal binder jetting Plastics processing additive manufacturing processes, e.g. extrusion-based and Vat photopolymerization Joining technology Joining technology, e.g. spot welding, MIG Other Tool presetter with image evaluation and DNC interface for transfer of correction data Demonstrator for condition monitoring using cyber-physical systems PC workstations for NC programming, CAD and production planning
