Overview

At Smart Environments, we are passionate about buildings. In 2021, the built environment accounted for nearly 40% of global CO₂ emissions and with the global population expected to rise to 9 billion by 2037, the importance of efficient building operations and systems has never been so important. The concept of Smart Environments was born in 2020 during the covid pandemic as a desire to innovate further within the BEMS and HVAC industries, with a particular focus on establishing a vendor agnostic approach to a building's systems, and align to the sustainability goals of organisations throughout the UK. We leverage over 40 years of successful HVAC and BEMS experience alongside new technologies to elevate how buildings perform. The challenges we face in maintaining the built environment are high, with internal spaces being regularly redefined, stakeholder changes, as well as demands to lower our energy usage and increased awareness in IAQ (indoor air quality). Therefore there are few environments as complex as commercial buildings. At times our buildings can support hundreds or even thousands of users, through which countless HVAC systems support the environmental wellbeing of its stakeholders. Our flexible AI technologies are able to be deployed to existing buildings, or as part of new construction projects and remove the problems faced by legacy infrastructure by normalising data from disparate systems and manufacturers. The benefits our smart building technologies deliver standardised reporting and alarms, fault detection and diagnosis, functional threshold testing, energy monitoring, analytical dashboards and ESOS & ESG requirements, and align to ISO50001.
