1.1 Billion people worldwide need clean drinking water every day but have to face its unavailability daily. Children and women have to carry heavy canisters for hours with their hands or on their heads and they are physically not able to transport more amounts of water. But they need more water. We saw the opportunity and started our project SMABARREL - we created a rollable water innovation that helps women and children to transport more water faster. We create new job opportunities in a sustainable way. The SMABARREL is a simple, receycable click system that connects 2 round water canister each 19.8L. By the hot sun we get another bonus. UV permeable water canisters ensure an automatic disinfection within an hour at 50 degree. It's a proved method, called "SODIS". By this process, we are able to minimizes the risk of cholera Typhoid (THAIFOID) and diarrhoea (DIARREH) by 99,99% and make the water drinkable.
