Overview

We believe in the power of young food changemakers! We are the Slow Food Youth Network (SFYN), a global network of young people with a passion for, and a connection to food in any way. We are young consumers and young professionals, including farmers, gardeners, cooks, fishermen and producers who together bring about changes in food production and food consumption. SFYN is based on the principles of Slow Food, stating a commitment to good, clean and fair food. GOOD a fresh and flavorsome seasonal diet that satisfies the senses and is part of our local culture; CLEAN food production and consumption that does not harm the environment, animal welfare or our health; FAIR accessible prices for consumers and fair conditions and pay for small-scale producers. To make this happen, we work to unite the youth of Slow Food, promote the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and together campaign internationally. This way, empowering them to take action for a better future of food. At the same time, we say, there’s no better moment, than right here, right now, to enjoy and celebrate food! "Eat with your heart. Vote with your fork." Curious? Good, we love that attitude! Want to collaborate? Awesome! We are in over 80 countries, with thousands of food changemakers, who work on hundreds of projects. Send us a message to find out about the opportunities.
