The Slow Farming Company sells regenerative beef and pork, from our family farm (Clanville Manor Farm) in Somerset, alongside carefully selected ethical kitchen and homewares via our award winning e-commerce website (button above). Awards: ⭐ Online Retailer - Gold Award (Taste of the West 2023) ⭐ Grass Fed Beef Mince - Gold Award (Taste of the West 2023) ⭐ Pasture Reared Hens Eggs - Gold Award (Taste of the West 2023) ⭐ Sustainability Champion - Finalist (South West Farmer Awards 2023) ⭐ Sustainability Champion - Finalist (Taste of the West Awards 2023) Regenerative Agriculture: Our family farm uses organic and regenerative farming methods such as mob grazing, herbal leys, cover cropping, no tilling and no synthetic chemicals or fertilisers. Our cattle graze on 100% pasture for life. Regenerative agriculture has been shown to improve soil health, nutrients and structure which can: (i) improve the nutritional quality of the food we eat (crops and meat); (ii) improve livestock health and wellbeing; (iii) improve biodiversity and wildlife habitats; (iv) increase the production capacity of the soil; (v) improve the capacity of the soil to store carbon (which can help to reverse climate change); (vi) improve the capacity of the soil to hold water (reducing the effects of flooding); and (vii) reduce erosion and desertification.
