Overview

The Sales Leaders & Consultants (SLAC) are a division of the Bowling Green State University Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Our group strives to improve our knowledge and skillset in the areas of sales and problem solving. We accomplish this via 3 tools: · Real-World Experience o Weekly challenges inspired by Rejection Therapy o Review of Collegiate Sales Competition Cases o Business professional guest speakers · Employer Interaction o Connect with employers to become mentors, AMA sponsors, or employ SLAC members · Value Added Activities o Meetings are held weekly. In these meetings we review steps of the sales process and participate in activities built to reinforce important and relevant sales topics. The founders of SLAC focused on developing personal responsibility of each member, called a Sales Leader- this is essential to the culture of SLAC. Each Sales Leader must hold themselves accountable. Sales Leaders are stressed that they gain as much as they put into the organization and the related activities. We are feedback oriented, and experimental in nature.
