The Device Interlink Program is used for monitoring computer usage of offenders to ensure they are complying with their imposed Court conditions. It is designed to support and bring together the judicial system, offender management, and law enforcement, in order to aid in the offender’s road to recovery. Sinter Technologies has developed software that monitors offenders using an ever-evolving list of prohibited search terms that is constantly updated and geared specifically towards child sexual abuse material on the internet. The software also automatically blocks almost 6,000 websites that have been known to host child sexual abuse material. If the software detects any infraction of the prohibited list, Sinter Technologies will provide the originating Police Service and/or Probation and Parole with a comprehensive report. The report will include the date, time, device used, and phrases/words that triggered the infraction. The software does not in any way intercept private communication or sensitive personal information and ONLY reports on the prohibited search terms. Sinter Technologies is presently designed to address conditions related to Internet Child Exploitation and Child Sexual Abuse Material offences. However, we believe this product could be implemented for a multitude of internet related offences and conditions, including human trafficking and other cybercrimes. Sinter Technologies satisfies the conditions imposed by the Court, while also satisfying the conditions of Crown Attorneys and Defence Counsel alike, thus bridging the gap between the offender, judicial system, and offender management.
