Sino-Portuguese Centre for New Energy Technologies (Shanghai) Co. , Ltd. (SCNET) is a joint venture of EDP (the largest energy group of Portugal and one of Europe's major power operators) and China Three Gorges Cooperation (one of the world's largest clean energy developers and operator, with business, covering more than 70 countries). SCNET carries research and technical studies on offshore wind power technology, application of new energy technologies to microgrids, optimization of the usage of renewable energy in the power sector.
