Overview

Sharing Life is a startup that goals to raise public awareness about the importane of the knowledge of First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Besides this, we want to instill the citizens into a healthy lifestyle. Given this, we organize events and campaigns that fall into two categories: - Public and health-related events in companies, educational organizations and other entities, - Raise awareness campaigns and distance learning services exploiting the opportunities offered by the internet and new technologies. In addition, Sharing Life’s innovative approach should also be highlighted. As already said above, the events shall be both real life sessions (e.g. training in special sessions and first aid demonstrations) and e-learning sessions. The latter shall be fully in Greek, scientifically approved and free of charge. This way, every person in our country will be able train online in a direct, scientifically sound way with no charge whatsoever. In other words, the first aid training will become accessible to everyone. It has to be noted, that a one-off training is not enough to get the full grasp of the first aid techniques, since some regular retraining is needed to sustain the required skills. This is why we shall remind our sessions’ attendees of the need to retrain through e-mail or SMS. The retraining will be also taking place either in real life or online. Apart from this, we are introducing an incentive-reward program for our users, which will give them the opportunity to benefit from their regular re-education, as they will be awarded with discounts offered by partner companies and businesses. Our startup is backed by the Mpodosaki Institution (Idryma Mpodosaki) and the Municipality of Athens “Syn-Athena” programme, with its induction in the 2nd Cycle of Hosting and Empowering “Social Dynamo”. Moreover, Sharing Life is among the 8 finalists of the Social Impact Award 2017 competition which is being organized by Impact Hub Athens.
