Overview

The Brazilian Society of Television Engineering, founded on March 25, 1988, is a not-for-profit technical and scientific association consisting of technology and operations companies, universities, and professionals. Its prime objective is to further technical knowledge across the electronic media chain, from production to delivery. It represents the largest discussion forum on market standards and trends for the creation, management and distribution of electronic content in Brazil. One of its key achievements was to head up the team that developed the Brazilian Digital TV System (SBTVD).
