The Senior Housing & Healthcare Association was established in 2020 as an industry initiative to help create alignment between operators, banks, investors and stakeholders including both national and local government. Our members and partners operate across Europe ensuring that the SHHA is well-positioned to support the transition within the sector and help prepare the market for the significant increases in future demand. We are faced with extensive challenges in terms of outdated existing stock, changing consumer demand and climate targets related to the Paris Agreement. This requires close cooperation within the real estate value chain. Together with Aedifica, Care Property Invest, Cofinimmo, Koriam, Northern Horizon, Swiss Life Asset Managers, CMS, CBRE, Cushmand & Wakefield and Savills we work on the strategic initiatives that can help to develop the market - to make it investable for investors and available for citizens. Attracting leading professionals from across Europe and strategic partnerships with fellow associations is our way forward and the path to making a real outreach impact. In 2023 we signed partnership agreements with EPRA, ARCO and Co-living Ventures. From the SHHA perspective, our call to action is aimed to reinforce collaboration, trust and focus on the long-term. A close and successful cooperation between operators with their residents, investors and stakeholders such as local governments is the mission of the SHHA.
