Overview

Currently self-employed as consultant and cyber ambassador while looking for full time work. As Cyber Ambassador I work on making connections among organizations with information and communication technologies. My current goal is to use the knowledge from my 30 plus years of varied work and experiences in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to inform, improve, and make a difference for future generations and the technologies they will use. A secondary goal is life-long learning to keep up with emerging ICT such as "Social Media" to understand their value for collaboration as well as potential problems or policy issues. My experiences since 1981 have been working with information technologies in higher education, K-12, communities (civic networks) and libraries on local, regional, national, and international projects. Primary deliverables have been (1) to assist faculty, staff, and clients to develop an understanding of the value for the adoption and integration of emerging information technologies in education, research, and administration; (2) to promote the use of international standards; and (3) encourage the use of "public domain" or open source resources as a way to provide economical access to applications and content to those who may not afford commercial products.
