Overview

Sealaska Timber Company (STC) was founded in 1979 to develop and market the resources conveyed to Sealaska Corporation, its parent company, through ANCSA (Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act). Sealaska owns 290,000 acres of surface land, and STC is the dominant timber producer in Southeast Alaska. With over 35 years of experience harvesting logs from our aboriginal forests to world markets, STC has been marketing more than 3.5 billion board feet of timber since its inception. STC takes great pride in responsible forest management, consistent quality assurance and reliability of delivery. Primary products marketed by STC include western hemlock, Sitka spruce, western red cedar and Alaska yellow cedar. The timber industry is constantly changing and STC is carefully evaluating future ANCSA harvest levels to maintain sustainable forests. We are committed to finding the best methods to responsibly manage our forest, fish and wildlife habitats to ensure future generations the benefit of a productive timber environment. At STC, you will be working closely with a group of marketers, field engineers and quality assurance experts. Our main office in Ketchikan, AK. For field roles, you might be working in other parts of southeast Alaska. Check out exciting job opportunities at STC and our parent company Sealaska, and apply today!
