The Seafarers Hospital Society provides mental and physical health services, and welfare grants to seafarers and their dependents. The Society has been supporting Merchant Navy seafarers for more than 200 years, and latterly fishermen. Originally known for its Dreadnought Medical Service, it also offers free physiotherapy for working seafarers, free mental health and wellbeing support and is a key partner in SeaFit, a dedicated health programme delivering health services to fishermen at the quayside.
