Overview

Screen Share exists to support, inform and advocate for digital inclusion for refugees. We do this primarily by repurposing used laptops and gifting them to refugees in the UK. If it's a nice one, we wipe it, check it works and pass it on. If it needs some love, we ask one of our volunteer IT specialists to make it beautiful again and then we pass it to refugees. We completely reply on laptop donations and volunteers. We currently accept laptops which: *Switch on *Have built-in cameras *Are no more than 8 years old Unfortunately, at this stage, we don't accept laptops which: *Don't switch on *Couldn't fit into a medium sized backpack *Have a sticker by the trackpad which say 'Celeron' or 'Pentium' We have these restrictions because we want refugees to know they are infinitely valuable - they deserve a good piece of tech like any one else. Our funding situation also means we have to invest strategically in laptops which are going to last for a good few years.
