Run by volunteers from science and business, the Science meets Business (SmB) Foundation conceptually, but also physically, brings together scientists, young business professionals, students and (potential) entrepreneurs to share their experiences, knowledge and ideas and stimulate knowledge sharing, innovation and collaboration on the intersection of science and business. SmB's main way to bring all these science and business enthusiasts together is the monthly SmB Cafe, providing a platform for start-ups, companies and researchers and facilitating a low key networking environment. Other initiatives by SmB are the SmBPC (Science meets Business Plan Competition) and Gulliver (now a separate entity) and they gladly collaborate with any other organisation with similar goals: stimulating entrepreneurship from science.
