Overview

This venerable Rowing Club hosts visitng and long-term Club members from around the globe. Curent Masters hail from Japan, Scotland, England, Australia, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Guatemala, Chile and Argentina. Our non-profit mission - to provide water safety and rowing instruction for youth is a driving principle of our Club's events and actions. We are extending Club outreach programs to inner-city youth and to wounded warriors and injured servicemen. As a racing Club, our Juniors and Masters regularly compete at the national level. Masters often take advantage of the global reach of our "sport well oared" to also participate internationally in sanctioned regattas. Michael Welch brought home a FISA World 1st place medal (1X) from St. Catharine's CA last September. We also garnered two seconds and many third place finishes in this international competition! Juniors from our Club have gone on to Olypmpic performances and a 1964 Silver Medal performance in Tokyo. Most recently, two women alumni from our Juniors programs gained gold medals in the U-23 World Championships for Rowing. A young man went to Beijing in 2007 as a member of a national 4+ entry. Our regular newsletters can be viewed at the facebook, twitter and webblog links on each webpage of our site. Our Club: "Honors our storied Past, Executes in the Present, and Anticipate our Future."
