Overview
Engaging community partners to improve the lives of children and families. The Youth Alliance has 5-keys: Crisis Prevention, Early Childhood, Substance Abuse Prevention, Youth Asset Development, Youth Mentoring. The Youth Mentoring provides young people with positive adult role models in the community and in the workplace. Youth Asset development is to instill positive values and a commitment to learning through carefully planned and integrated solid foundation of of substance abuse prevention education, leadership, and team work and opportunities to serve. Crisis Prevention works to establish an integrated system for delivering health, family support, and social services to children & families in order to improve outcomes, reduce costs, and ultimately reduce risks of child abuse. Early Childhood works with childcare providers to promote the growth & quality of early childhood care & school readiness for children. Substance Abuse Prevention works to positively change community attitudes surrounding drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, encouraging youth to choose substance free lives.
