Saffron Centre Ltd is a sexual assault centre serving the east and central regions of Alberta, including the City of Edmonton and Greater Edmonton Area. Saffron offers support and healing services to those who have experienced all forms of sexual violence, including abuse, assault, exploitation, harassment, and others. We also offer proactive education to all ages with a vision of hope and healing for those impacted by sexual violence. Saffron offers three core services: Counselling - we offer a variety of counselling programs with different options for individuals to access what works best for them. All of our counselling services are on a sliding fee scale to ensure affordability for our clients. Police and Court Support - our specialized team works with those navigating the investigative and criminal justice system, providing information, advocacy, and accompaniment. All police and court services are offered free of charge. Public Education - Saffron offers presentations to all ages, focusing on topics like boundaries, consent, healthy relationships, internet safety, and sexual assault. All content is age appropriate. We also offer professional workshops on trauma-informed practice, sensitive disclosure management, and online child sexual exploitation. Saffron is proud to announce that we have a Facility Support Dog on site as of April 2022! Yukon is a black Labrador Retriever and is part of a certified handler team with Saffron's Directors. She was trained through the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, an accredited agency through Assistance Dogs International.
