Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

Overview

Our main objective is to promote and conserve indigenous wildlife, fauna and flora within the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve. Preserving this remarkable area as a wildlife sanctuary is instrumental to this cause. Through action and education, we aim to create a united legacy of sustainable conservation – both on and off the Sabi grounds, spreading the importance of our natural and protected spaces and species. The Sabi Sand Wildtuin (SSW) prides itself on being the oldest private game reserve in South Africa. Driven by conservation, SSW has pioneered a host of wildlife and conservation management practices over the years and is managed by a dedicated and highly skilled team of professionals. The reserve is a proclaimed protected area consisting of 49 481 hectares adjacent to Kruger National Park. With open boundaries on the eastern and northern parts of the SSW, wildlife movement and species diversity are at their best and wildlife have the space to roam naturally. The SSW is known for its unparalleled Big Five game viewing experience and its species diversity.
