Founded in 2002, the Rockville Roadies Multiple Sclerosis Project Inc. (RRMS) is a highly energized 100% volunteer 501c3 focused on serving the immediate, day-to-day needs of the Multiple Sclerosis community. The Rockville Roadies (RRMS Inc.) know how important physical freedom can be and we’re dedicated to helping every MS-affected person enjoy that freedom to the fullest extent they can. We have successfully networked with a number of NMSS (National MS Society) chapters and other nonprofits in 7 states to help MS-affected folks procure the special equipment they need to stay mobilized and immersed in their community. Partnering with our peer nonprofits, we’re able to procure and defray the cost of: Car modifications: hand controls (steering, brakes, and accelerator) Car modifications: scooter carriers Ramps for house entry and egress Home-modifications Motor-assisted exercisers Stair-lifts /stair-glides Orthotics Walk-Aids This enables a transformational change, allowing MS-affected folks to: move about the house go to doctor’s appointments go to the store simply visit a friend retain employment / retain health benefits return to the workforce take care of their families remove the fear of getting around
