Overview

The Rochester Arc + Flame Center (RocAFC) is an 11,000 square-foot training facility designed specifically for welding, glass working and blacksmithing. The mission of RocAFC is to provide exciting and innovative classes for people of all skill levels. Rochester Arc + Flame Center is the only training facility in upstate New York to offer professional and recreational classes in welding, glass working and blacksmithing. Since 2012, over 12,000 students have taken classes at the Rochester Arc + Flame Center. Michael Krupnicki is the Executive Director and founder of the Rochester Arc + Flame Center. In 2001, Krupnicki was the President and owner of Mahany Welding Supply (established in 1946). He had a vision for Mahany Welding Supply to create welder training classes not only for professional tradesmen but also the general public. Mahany Welding Supply trained students through day clinics, night courses, collegiate and vocational classes, and professional welder qualification programs. The success of these welder-training programs prompted Krupnicki to expand his model of training into a separate entity featuring welding and additional flameworking arts. The Rochester Arc + Flame Center features instructors who are experienced professionals and world-renowned artists to provide the best programs available. Classes are designed for all levels of interest from curiosity seekers to people desiring professional level training. From individuals in search of a unique weekend experience to tradespeople seeking career training, RocAFC has a program for everyone. Class signup is available online and in store during normal hours of operation.
