Overview

The Retirement Housing Group (‘RHG-UK’) is the UK’s leading organisation representing the whole retirement housing sector. Our aim is to increase housing choices for older people by advancing and promoting the case for more and better retirement housing across all types and tenures, and we are the only body of our type in the country. We work both nationally and locally to raise the profile of retirement housing and tackle barriers that exist in order to increase its supply, range and quality. Our key activities include improving planning, housing, legal and housing management policy by bringing issues and solutions to opinion-formers. We have been operating since 1995 and our members include the largest providers of existing and new retirement housing – including retirement housing with care and retirement housing with support. Our members are responsible for the delivery of more than 70% of all the types of retirement housing across all tenures in the UK over the last decade.
