Overview

Rethink Fashion actively guides brands to define, integrate and implement progressive and realistic sustainability transformation into their strategy and operations including decarbonization and circularity, among other potential pillars while always keeping in mind their vision, business growth and bottom line through a customized roadmap. Rethink Fashion can also advise international fashion & luxury brands on how to localize their headquarters’ sustainability strategy, identify key relevant areas suitable in China, develop local activations, and report on progress. Rethink Fashion was founded by Dominique Simard, an accomplished fashion education leader in Shanghai, who has led roles in promoting, developing, and managing fashion education since 2003. He managed the Condé Nast Center of Fashion & Design powered by the world-renowned multi-media group Condé Nast and its titles including Vogue, GQ and Glamour. Over the years, Dominique has closely collaborated with leading international fashion and luxury brands including Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Zegna, Zara, Nike and GAP among others, as well as leading local brands including ELLASSAY Group, ICICLE, Metersbonwe and HSTYLE. Dominique has in recent years pivoted progressively toward fashion sustainability transformation to continue contributing to the local fashion industry with tackling its biggest challenge yet. Meanwhile, he completed executive programs at the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford in circular economy, decarbonization and ESG. Partner brands can also take advantage of Rethink Fashion’s wide network of fashion schools in China and overseas, as well as independent designers, to conduct relevant and unique activations supporting sustainability and nurturing the next generation of design talents.
