Overview

RCS began as Rescue Roofing Specialists in Greensboro, NC in 2010 to serve homeowners in our community who had suffered the effects of natural disasters. Business boomed. RRS expanded from one location to others in Southside, VA, Roanoke, VA, and Hickory, NC. In early 2011, Chris Edwards approached a former colleague, Shelia Brewington, in the interest of expanding RRS to the Raleigh, NC area. The Raleigh branch soon became the front runner of not only the RRS brand, but in the entire local industry. With an extremely successful branch of RRS under her belt, in early 2012 Shelia decided to become a partner. She had a much broader vision for the business in mind. Shelia and Chris decided it was time to expand their service offerings from individual homeowners to REITs and apartment communities. And with that, the subsidy East 2 West Property Solutions was born. By the end of 2013, not only was Rescue’s focus on disaster recovery for individual homeowners, but on nationally known REIT’s, as well. Shelia and Chris decided it was time to focus their attention on the commercial roofing industry. RRS was soon HUB certified as a minority woman owned business as Shelia’s transitional business model success poised her as majority owner. With much networking and many prequalifications, RRS found itself being offered a plethora of government and private sector contracts. They realized focusing the business on roofing was limiting the business and they surrounded themselves with a knowledgeable and talented staff who were eager to expand their offerings. By 2015, Rescue had assisted thousands of homeowners throughout NC, VA, SC, FL, and TX; had branched out into the multifamily sector: and had expanded their offerings to private and government commercial projects as a HUB certified minority woman owned business, thus becoming Rescue Construction Solutions, Inc.
