Overview

The Regina Work Preparation Centre is a non-profit, charitable, community-based organization. We have served Regina for over 40 years. The Regina Work Preparation Centre is Building The Saskatchewan Workforce, One Person At A Time. Every day, we meet clients where they are at and help them meet their goals. And every day, we strive to meet the changing needs of the local economy, labour market, clients and the community. We are developing employees, consumers and taxpayers. Work Prep helps bridge the gap between our untapped labour force and the needs of Saskatchewan employers. We work with employers to understand their needs and we work with clients to prepare them for the demands of the workplace. We provide a combination of one-to-one counselling and group-based programming. We have a Computer Resource Centre open to anyone needing access to a computer for work search purposes. We have professional staff available doing anything from counselling, helping prepare resumes to facilitating internet job searches. We also specialize in supporting people with recent involvement with the criminal justice system. We work with a variety of agencies including the Regina Provincial Correctional Centre, the Paul Dojack Youth Centre, the Probations Office and the Drug Treatment Court. There is no referral required to access our services. Anybody can visit us and get assessed for service.
