Range Recon

Overview

The idea for Range Recon came about during the great 2012 Obama gun sales campaign. (Gotta give credit where credit is due). While waiting in line at local gun stores, the question was asked again and again by those new to firearms where to unleash the power and feeling of their newly acquired constitutional right. Those behind the counter normally gave some vague directions of a place to shoot they knew about in the general vicinity of their store. And unfortunately, that’s where most people stop where firearms are concerned. After years of refining, we launched RangeRecon.com. We hope to change the firearms community by opening the eyes of so many Americans who don’t know what they don’t know. There is so much more out there than shooting a couple hundred rounds at a stationary target at your local indoor range. That same range probably has matches or instruction which can help enlighten you as to where your shooting skills lie. The site is meant to shed light on shooting sports, instructors and ranges that people didn’t know are out there. A place for people in the gun industry to showcase what they have worked so hard to become. A place for your average gun lover to connect to those who have devoted their lives to teaching or providing a place to enjoy your second amendment right. The heart of the site is the user interface which helps shooters stay updated with their favorite firearm activities and providers. That could mean buying and building guns, going to the next level with training or shooting sports, or finding a deal on that hunting experience you’ve been longing for. For all you gun guys out there: become a part of the firearms community. Go shoot some matches. Make some new friends and hone those skills. Go to some different ranges, get some training, get out of your comfort zone...
