Overview

The Uni-Bell PVC Pipe Association was founded in 1971 as a non-profit organization and is the authoritative source of information on PVC water, sewer, and reclaimed water pipe and serves the engineering, regulatory, public health and standardization communities. Our mission is to promote use of longer-life, lower-maintenance, corrosion-proof PVC pipe in water and wastewater systems – for real sustainability, strength and long-term asset management. The Association offers free technical and engineering support for the design, installation and application of PVC piping systems. Attributes of PVC pipe include: • Lowest break rate of all water pipe materials • Safe, easy-to-install, and cost-effective • Lowest independently verified life-cycle embodied energy • 70 years of use in North America with in excess of 100+ years of confirmed service life • Most commonly specified material for water and sewer projects • Lowest environmental impacts and carbon footprint according to ISO 14040/14025 and NSF International Utilities and public works directors can contact the PVC Pipe Association to discuss use of PVC pipe for their water and sewer systems whether for new developments or replacement.
