PUT Motorsport is a student organization of the Poznań University of Technology, the aim of which is to take part in the international Formula Student competition, organized by SAE International and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The competition is attended by student teams from all over the world, whose task is to construct a self-designed vehicle - a racing car within 12 months. The organization focuses on the development of engineering students, with particular emphasis on managerial, construction and marketing skills. The team consists of 5 project groups with a wide range of responsibilities - students are required not only to build a vehicle, prepare a cost estimate for its serial production and develop a business plan, but also acquire and cooperate with project partners. PUT Motorsport is conducted in cooperation with the scientific staff of the Poznań University of Technology, thanks to which students gain wide access to research equipment, machines and software used in the automotive industry. In 2021, the project was supported by over 60 companies from around the world. The graduates of the project find employment in high racing series (F1, WEC) as well as in enterprises from the automotive, mechanical, materials and related industries.
