PT Medco Ratch Power Riau (“MRPR”), a special purpose company established by PT Medco Power Indonesia (51%) and Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited (49%) , awarded the rights to develop a 275 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant located at Pekanbaru City, Riau Province, Indonesia in November 2016. In April 2017, MRPR entered into BOOT scheme with a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement with PT PLN (Persero), the state-owned electricity utility company. The power plant will be started to construct in 2018 and will be entered commercial operation in 2021. The power plant supplies electricity into the Pasir Putih 150 kV transmission line, which is owned and operated by PLN.
