Overview

Project ECHO® Ontario Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH), is innovative, technology-enabled collaborative learning program where primary care providers and mental health clinicians work together to discover new ways to care more effectively for children and adolescents with mental health problems in primary or secondary medical settings. Project ECHO® Ontario CYMH is fully funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. In February 2017, we launched our first cohort. Through Project ECHO® Ontario CYMH, our Hub Specialists and Learning Partners can share experiences, expertise and resources in all areas of the province. By attending this program, you will gain the skills and knowledge to help the children and youth get the mental health services they need in their own communities. You will be able to deliver evidence-informed care, at the right place, and at the right time. Primary Care Providers are invited to participate in these free TeleECHO™ clinic sessions. As an added bonus, Continued Professional Development (CPD) credits are given to participants who attend. We are accredited by both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). For more information, or to find out about participating in Project ECHO® Ontario Child and Youth Mental Health as a Learning Partner, please contact Project ECHO® Ontario CYMH Manager Josée Blackburn. Email: jblackburn@cheo.on.ca or ECHO_CYMH@cheo.on.ca Phone: 613-737-7600 ext. 3399 This TeleECHO™ virtual clinic session is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 1.5 Mainpro+ credits per session.
