Two Great Stages, One Great Theater! — Get On The Bronx-Manhattan Theater Express! Outcome of the marriage of Pregones Theater and Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, Pregones/PRTT is a multigenerational performing ensemble, multidiscipline arts presenter, and owner/steward of bilingual arts facilities in The Bronx and Manhattan. Our mission is to champion a Puerto Rican/Latinx cultural legacy of universal value through creation and performance of original plays and musicals, exchange and partnership with other artists of merit, and engagement of diverse audiences. Our union builds upon extraordinary congruence of vision, commitment to place and community, and the promise of enhanced creative capacity, reach, and impact. Programs advance only the best of what each company did prior to merger: MAINSTAGE produces works by our award-winning acting and music ensemble, now frequently in collaboration with stellar guest artists; PRESENTING showcases standout, underrepresented, and innovative artists and works of theater, music, dance, and film/media; EDUCATION provides artist professional development and lifelong arts learning for youth, adults, and seniors; TOURING builds ties to the field and circulates our original works locally, nationally, and internationally.
