Overview

In the year 1999 when the Indian economy was gaining momentum and the Power sector was undergoing momentous changes, Power Mech Projects Limited was founded by Mr. S. Kishore Babu with a vision to provide quality services in the power sector and to contribute to the growth story of the power sector. The company made inroads in a very short time in the power sector through sheer dedication, pace in execution, and quality of service. A company that was started with a few dozen employees has now grown to be a multinational organization, employing over 10,000 direct and over 20,000 indirect manpower. Power Mech commenced its professional journey, undertaking Operation & Maintenance (O&M) jobs and little later entered into Erection, Testing and Commissioning (ETC) of power projects covering Boiler, Turbine and Generators and Balance of Plant. The company pursued the journey of adding every segment in a power plant from construction to operation, maintenance, refurbishing, overhauling, renovation, and modernization of units of almost all types, sizes, capacities, and makes. Power Mech’s presence spans across ETC and O&M of sub-critical & supercritical units, Ultra Mega Power Projects, Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), Waste Heat Recovery Boilers (WHRBs), Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion Boilers, Gas and Steam Turbines Generators and Hydro Electric Projects. After playing a major role in the capacity addition to various grids around the world, the company started diversifying its business to new areas and expanded numerically and geographically. Power Mech also has its presence well established in other infrastructure fields such as Civil & Architecture, Railways, Irrigation, Transmission & Distribution, Cross Country Piping, Steel & Aluminum, Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbons, Hydro Power and Spare Part Manufacturing.
