Overview

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is the UK's premier destination for naval history. The destination brand is managed by The National Museum of the Royal Navy. 2017-18 is a record-breaking year welcoming 900,000 visitors. Figures published by the University of Portsmouth estimate the site has an economic impact of £110.40 million per year on the local economy. Historic ships and museums on site include The National Museum of the Royal Navy's HMS Warrior 1860, HMS Victory, HMS M.33, The National Museum of the Royal Navy Portsmouth and our off-site attractions, including Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower (Gosport), the Royal Navy Submarine Museum and HMS Alliance (Gosport). Also included is a complimentary waterbus to the Gosport attractions and a 45-minute Harbour Tour. Also on site is Boathouse 4, Dockyard Apprentice and Action Stations (which is due to join the National Museum family soon.)
