Overview

PMI - The International Organization The Project Management Institute (PMI) is an international association with over 240,000 members in 160 countries. Chartered in 1969, the organization's goal is to support the project management profession by providing education, research, and technical tools and programs including a project management professional certification program. PMI is the fastest growing professional organization in the world. The Local Chapter The Maine Chapter was established in 1986 and is recognized, per capita, as one of the most active chapters in the United States. The Chapter holds monthly meetings (except July, August October and December), holds a professional development day, publishes a newsletter, provides networking opportunities. Our Board of Directors is always open to assist members with opportunities to learn new skills. Non-members are always welcome to attend chapter meetings. Come to our monthly meetings (September - June)! We look forward to the opportunity to meet you and those in your organization to discuss our chapter and PMI. We have many talented members who work for a variety of organizations, in many different industries, who would like to share their experiences.
