Overview

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a two years full time Post Graduate programme offered by the Department of Social Work, Jamia Millia Islamia since 1993.Field work practicum is an integral part of the course. For this purpose, other than theoretical inputs, the students are exposed to various field based experiences starting from the first semester itself. Students of the first semester are exposed to a range of activities related to their course which includes skills laboratories on various HR themes, Industrial Visits, Professional Interfaces, Group Conferences, a week-long residential Personality Development Program executing ‘Self Management and Development Module’ (SMDM) and skill building on computer proficiency etc. In the second semester, they are placed in medium and large sized industrial establishments while in the third and fourth semesters students are placed in corporate offices of industrial establishments and other complex organizations.
