Founded in 2018 as a community campaign initiative and incorporated in 2021. PETsPoint Technology is a social enterprise which uses its proprietary mobile platforms (Junkyard) to collect hard-to-recycle plastic and construction waste through provision of community collection infrastructures “receptacles” while using incentives to drive desired behavior’s and empower semi-skilled women and girls from low income communities from local communities to use as raw material for the production of eco-bricks for the building industry in the short term with a long term plan and expansion to production of yarns/fibres, t-shirts and other consumables in the value chain which is geared towards promoting circularity. Vision: To become one of Africa’s top innovation driven social enterprise in the plastic and recyclable waste management sector by 2027. Mission: To innovate and create economic value from recyclable wastes geared towards achieving circularity, environmental and economic sustainability. Our mission is also to contribute towards the achievement of the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals which include; Responsible Consumption and Production, Make Cities and Human Settlement Inclusive and Sustainable, Climate Action, Life on Land, and Life below Water. • We engage in citizen’s advocacy and outreaches campaigns to create awareness on the dangers of illegal dumping and the benefits of recycling starting with sorting from source. • We collect plastic waste bottles and other recyclables using technology. • We plan to bail and crush plastic waste bottles and other recyclables. • We plan to manufacture other viable products (bricks, clean flakes, clean pellets, polyester yarns and fibre) from plastic wastes.
