Overview

Perceptive Avionics services the General Aviation market, updating your instruments and installing the latest technology into your aircraft. Perceptive Avionics was founded in early 2021 by Jay Schrankler, former Business Unit President at Honeywell, adjunct professor at the University of Chicago, and founder of Aero 1217, an aviation company specializing in innovation and technology development. Pat Ehlenfeldt brings electrical/avionics mechanical expertise with his Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) license as the VP of operations. Pat previously worked as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in 3M’s aviation department, more recently under his own aircraft maintenance and consulting company Pat-Tech, and formerly held various mechanical positions in general, corporate, and commercial aviation. Altogether, Pat brings 30 years of relevant Aircraft Maintenance experience to Perceptive Avionics, making him one of the only in-house A&P technicians in the region.
