We connect the Pittsburgh region with Penn State’s faculty, staff, and programs to support sustainable communities through research, local outreach, engaged scholarship, and educational opportunities. We are located in Pittsburgh’s historic Hill District, adjacent to the city’s Golden Triangle, in the LEED Platinum certified Energy Innovation Center. Our offices are home to the Center’s staff, as well as staff from Allegheny County Extension, PennTAP (Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program), and Penn State World Campus. Our programs provide a positive impact for local Pittsburgh high school students, community-based organizations, Penn State students and faculty, as well as local governments, businesses, and residents. Our efforts extend far beyond our location in Pittsburgh’s Hill District, reaching the surrounding neighborhoods and communities, local Penn State Commonwealth campuses, and University Park.
