PEMEA means Pan-European Mobile Emergency Application and it’s an architecture that solves the problem of localized emergency applications that provide high-accuracy user location information to local emergency services when an emergency call is made not working when the user is outside the area that the application was intended to work in. That is, PEMEA allows mobile applications to provide accurate location and user information to the correct emergency answering point irrespective of where the user has roamed to. Any application that make an emergency call can use PEMEA to ensure the user is found quickly. This standard give the emergency services a technological modernization, expanding the coverage this centers can give to the citizen by implementing new necessary features to give the service they need. Furthermore, this features assure the coverage to some groups not covered before.
