The Parsons Entrepreneurial Lab (ELAB)

Research Services

Overview

The Parsons ELab is a design-led research lab dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurial practice. ELab brings alumni closer to the NYC design and entrepreneurial communities by redefining the post-graduate experience as graduates to transition from alumni to entrepreneurs. Structured as a non-profit incubator, ELab adopts a distributed network model, drawing its principles from the Parsons Design Thinking methodology with a foundation in social entrepreneurship. OUR VISION // Empowering our future generation of changemakers by supporting their social entrepreneurial ventures and connecting our greater community around leading positive, entrepreneurial change. OUR MISSION // To provide opportunities and education for entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial experiences for our New School community, from students to recent and long-term alumni, with a foundation in social entrepreneurship. Our mission is to offer support for students who seek to be entrepreneurs, and more exposure to the demands of entrepreneurship - specifically to recent alumni startup businesses, many of which originate in our New School programs, and to long term alumni who wish to connect and give back.
