At Palaestra, we believe leadership development is an inside job. Rather than offer trainings that start and stop, we're out to disrupt leadership training by building it in-house as an ongoing practice for everyone in the company so the coaching and feedback are continuous. We believe that business grows when people grow and people grow when they engage together in tribe-like Communities of Practice (CoPs) much like you see "on the mat" today in martial arts, yoga or Crossfit. By partnering up and practicing week-to-week, we democratize coaching so that everyone has a coach because everyone IS a coach. Since engagement reflects leadership, we start at the top to build the kind of executive alignment and high-performance teamwork that sets the tone for the entire company. Mastery takes 10,000 hours of deliberate practice: continuous improvement through exposure to live feedback. We don't think learning leadership requires anything less. Our unique "on the mat" approach builds exactly this kind of live feedback into day-to-day workflow so that everyday business challenges become the applied context for developing leaders over the long term.
