The Oshkosh Area United Way helps to identify community needs, creates long-term solutions, and funds local programs that deliver direct health and human services to the people in our community. We focus on youth-focused education, mental health, and financial stability. United Way changes lives for the better. When you invest in United Way, you help people. You feed those who struggle to put food on the table. You help children develop and grow strong. You provide safety. You ensure that emergency services are there to help people rebuild their lives after a disaster. You help families going through a temporary financial emergency. Oshkosh Area United Way’s strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency have earned it a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. The money raised stays right here in our community. And our United Way prides itself on being efficient so your gift to United Way goes directly to meet the needs of our community. This makes our community a great place to live, work, learn, and play. The United Way allocation and community investment process utilizes community volunteers who review every United Way-supported program to ensure that your gift is meeting priority needs, is able to measure positive results and is spent efficiently and effectively. United Way promotes an inclusive environment that leverages the unique contributions of diverse individuals and organizations so that we can collectively and effectively create opportunities for a better life for all. We respect, value and celebrate the attributes, characteristics, and perspectives that make each person unique.
